Yes, we wish summer would last forever. But it's good to know that it is never too early to explore your options and choose how to exercise your vaccine choice. We've put together some resources to help guide you through this process. Click on the hyperlinks below.
MICHIGAN HAS THREE EXEMPTIONS AVAILABLE
MICHIGAN'S DIGITAL WAIVER PROCESS IS NOT MANDATORY
YOU CAN OPT OUT OF MCIR
MICHIGAN PROMULGATED RULE 325.176(12) REQUIRES THE LOCAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT TO PERFORM "EDUCATIONAL" APPOINTMENTS FOR AN EXEMPTION.
There is nothing in the rule that allows for emails or parking lot pick-ups without the requirement for "education" being fulfilled. The ONLY reason this rule was put into place was to gather more private health data. You should ask for an in-person appointment. The MDHHS has failed to ensure that the counties are fully staffed/funded to provide these appointments. Do not be fooled into thinking that "easy" or "convenience" will protect yours or your child's privacy, or rights under the law. When you comply with an email or pickup, you allow for the gathering of data by the LHD to be easy.
MICHIGAN DOES NOT REQUIRE HPV OR COVID-19 VACCINATION
MICHIGAN ADMINISTRATIVE RULE 325.176(9)(i)(iii) FOR VARICELLA (CHICKEN POX)
